From his book, The Servant Manager: 203 Tips from the Best Places to Work in America, Mike offers interactive learning on how to make the most out of meetings. After introducing the 10 most frequently reported meeting problems, participants will be asked to self-assess themselves as both a meeting leader and as a meeting participant. Given various barriers to effective meetings, tips will be introduced to make meetings work. Participants also will be coached on how to prepare an agenda with both the audience and the outcome of the meeting in mind. The concepts of asking facilitative questions, brainstorming ideas, monitoring time, closing the meeting and evaluating the meeting will be presented as take aways for the future. Finally, best practices and the use of ice breakers will be shared to bring the entire session full circle.
