De-escalate and Resolve Conflicts

Today’s session will focus on the processes of de-escalation, communication, conversation, listening, discussion and negotiation. Applying the most current understanding from neuroscience, participants will leave with tools to help them and others de-escalate, enhance their listening skills and become better negotiators. Participants will learn how to overcome the “stinky twins” of Blaming Others (BO) and Blaming Self (BS), and discover how to raise uncomfortable issues without putting off others. Proven techniques will be presented to help you enhance your negotiation skills. Finally, you will learn the 10-step formula for winning solutions that save you money, reduce stress and salvage relationships. All attendees will receive a pocket guide as reference to help them resolve conflict. Mike will be using elements from two of his eleven books, The Servant Manager: 203 Tips from the Best Places to Work in America and Peaceful Resolutions: A 60-step Illustrated Guide to the Art of Conflict Resolution along with current research on this topic for today’s presentation.
