Build Engaged Workgroups & Teams

November 27, 2018 by

Reading Time: < 1 minute

This session focuses on lessons learned regarding leadership and developing the leader within each of us. Ideas will be presented on how to explore and use opportunities to take constructive actions for self-improvement. Mike will be using ideas from two of his eleven books, The Servant Manager: 203 Tips from the Best Places to Work in America and Peaceful Resolutions: A 60-step Illustrated Guide to the Art of Conflict Resolution along with current research on this topic for today’s presentation. After discussing some lessons learned from neuroscience on how our brains work, statistics will be presented on the disconnect between management’s view of employee engagement compared to employees’ view, and how these views change across generations. Lessons Mike learned during his 25 years in management as well as tips from the best places to work in America will help participants apply these successful tips on leadership. By exploring and taking advantage of opportunities, participants will be able to take actions to both motivate and develop themselves and others to be more engaged in what they do. Finally, new leadership thinking will be presented to tie everything together and to allow participants to take specific actions going forward.
